I. Event Description:
The volunteer training will be led by local professional tour guides for youth interested in recording local history and culture. Participants will stroll through the alleys and historic buildings that embody Tainan’s history to experience and understand its unique local culture. In conjunction with the “Annual Themed Service Program: Roaming the Ancient Capital 400 Years Later” service event on Tuesday, October 6, the itinerary includes a walking tour around Min Sheng Green Park and its surrounding alleys, as well as a visit to the Southern Region Weather Center of the Central Weather Administration. This allows participating volunteers to gain a deeper understanding of the local area, learn about climate and natural disasters, and raise disaster prevention awareness.
II. Event Time:
Sunday, October 4, 2026, and Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Check-in is from 8:50 AM to 9:00 AM each morning. Any changes will be announced in the pre-event notification email.
III. Service Location:
Around Minsheng Green Park Cultural Zone, West Central District, Tainan City (including the area around the Southern Region Weather Center and the National Museum of Taiwan Literature). The exact assembly location will be informed via the pre-event notification email.
IV. Volunteer Role During Service:
Serve as team leaders and assistant instructors to assist tour guides during the walking tours, and guide primary school students to participate in activities (e.g., assisting with explanations, helping complete puzzle-solving challenges, or taking photos/video documentation).
