Program Purpose: Using “mushrooms” as a medium, this program integrates food and agricultural education with the concepts of sustainability and circular economy. Volunteers will lead school children to explore local agriculture, understand resource recycling, and practice a circular economy. The curriculum covers fundamental knowledge of mushrooms, principles of reusing agricultural waste, and hands-on activities to root sustainable agricultural concepts deeply in the next generation.
Event Time: June 24, 2026 (Wednesday), 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM. (Registration opens from 9:10 AM to 9:30 AM).
Event Venue: Tainan City Xigang District Chenggong Elementary School. (Shuttle service from Kun Shan University to Chenggong Elementary School is available).
Volunteer Roles: Serve as team leaders and teaching assistants to help instructors facilitate the food and agriculture courses, and guide school children through the hands-on activity of assembling sustainable mushroom cultivation kits.
