2.Purpose and Background
Elections are a crucial public affair in a democratic society. Polling place inspectors bear the responsibility of monitoring the voting and ballot-counting procedures, playing a key role in safeguarding the fairness, justice, and smooth operation of elections. According to regulations, college and university students are eligible to serve as polling place inspectors. To encourage young students to actively participate in public affairs, this program provides students with an opportunity to gain hands-on understanding of the electoral system, engage in election operations, deepen their understanding of democracy and the rule of law, and contribute to democratic elections and local public affairs.
3.Election Date and Service Details
The voting date for this referendum is Saturday, November 28, 2026. Working hours for polling place inspectors are from 8:00 AM until the completion of ballot counting (actual working hours depend on the progress of voting and counting on the day). Each inspector will receive a allowance of NT$2,500, which will be disbursed upon completion of the assigned duties according to regulations.
