南臺學校財團法人南臺科技大學「2026玉皇盃文創環保設計競賽」

I. Event Background
The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) were introduced by the United Nations in 2015, comprising 17 goals that encompass environmental, social, and economic dimensions. Upholding its long-standing mission of giving back to society, cultivating young talent, and promoting cultural education, the Kaiji Yuhuang Temple is proud to host the “2026 Yuhuang Cup Cultural and Creative Eco-Friendly Design Competition,” aiming to inspire creativity among college and university students nationwide.
The theme of this competition is “Cultural and Creative Arts + Religious Culture + Eco-Friendly Design.” The core framework is aligned with the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
Primary Focus: SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production)
Centered on implementing the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), minimizing resource waste, and promoting Circular Design through the application of eco-friendly materials.
Supporting Focus: SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)
Aimed at preserving and passing on religious cultural heritage, developing cultural and creative designs with local characteristics, and enhancing cultural sustainability to help build inclusive, safe, and resilient cities and communities.
Supporting Focus: SDG 13 (Climate Action)
Promoting mitigation and adaptation actions in response to climate change, advocating for low-carbon lifestyles, and encouraging green design.
Supporting Focus: SDG 4 (Quality Education)
Cultivating young design talents, elevating sustainability education, and facilitating cross-disciplinary innovative learning.
Centered on the core theme of “Cultural and Creative Eco-friendliness,” this year’s competition invites students across the country to participate. Through innovative design and cross-school exchange, the event aims to inspire works that embody both cultural value and environmental sustainability. We look forward to seeing participants creatively interpret traditional culture and integrate eco-friendly concepts with practical applications. This is an opportunity to demonstrate the younger generation’s dedication to cultural heritage and global sustainability, joining hands to contribute to environmental protection.
