National Chengchi University Office of Student Affairs Art Center 2026 Autumn/Winter Art Program: "Addiction/Obsession"

The theme for Autumn/Winter 2026 is “Addiction/Obsession” (癮), exploring people’s immersion in, attachment to, and pursuit of everyday things. It invites the audience to reconsider the relationship between the body, senses, culture, and humanity, reflecting on the meaning of “addiction” in contemporary life through artistic experiences and transforming it into a source of creativity. The event details are as follows:
Exhibition Series: Hysteresis – Ni Hao Solo Exhibition: Running from September 23 (Wednesday) to December 23 (Wednesday). The opening gala will take place on September 23 (Wednesday) at 19:00 at Art Space, 5th Floor, Art Center. An interdisciplinary lecture titled Clothes Still Remember Your Body will be held on the evening of October 15 (Thursday) at Ming-Da Lecture Hall, 4th Floor, College of Law.
Performance Series: Three free performances in total. Story Works’ 3 Zhuge Liangs will feature two evening performances on November 25 (Wednesday) and November 26 (Thursday) at the Audio-Visual Hall, 3rd Floor, Art Center. Alma Tango’s Vertigo will take place on the evening of December 3 (Thursday) at the Audio-Visual Hall, 3rd Floor, Art Center.
Film Series: Five free film screenings in total:
Sept 30 (Wed), Evening: A Pale View of Hills followed by a post-screening talk.
Oct 16 (Fri), Afternoon: Beautiful Boy.
Oct 22 (Tue), Evening: Club Zero.
Social Justice Film Screenings & Post-Screening Talks: Deep Quiet Room on Oct 7 (Wed), Evening, and In the Same Boat on Nov 11 (Wed), Evening, at the Audio-Visual Hall, 3rd Floor, Art Center.
Ecological Sustainability Woodcarving Project: Launching “Learning Woodcarving Creation from Scratch: Tumbler Workshop”. Three identical sessions will be held on Nov 21 (Sat), Nov 28 (Sat), and Dec 12 (Sat) at Art Corridor, 4th Floor, Art Center. Capacity is limited to 8 participants per session; advance payment and registration are required.
