Program Overview: To encourage university student organizations to engage deeply with local communities and support disadvantaged groups, the foundation has promoted the “Student Service Organization Support Program” since 2006. The initiative aims to leverage students’ expertise and skills to serve vulnerable populations in rural and remote areas across Taiwan. In 2026, the program will continue this mission by seeking student organizations committed to long-term, on-site service.
Funding: The total budget for this year is NTD 1.5 million. Funding allocations will be reviewed and approved by the foundation’s board of directors.
Eligibility & Focus: For the 2026 (Academic Year 115) program, applications are open to service-oriented student organizations from colleges and universities. Applicants are encouraged to integrate their academic expertise into sustained service for disadvantaged groups in rural areas. Medical-related service teams are especially encouraged. Medical-related teams may apply for single-service deployments (minimum of 5 service days, excluding preparation time). Non-medical teams are encouraged to conduct long-term, continuous service throughout the academic year, including winter and summer breaks.
Application Process: Applications are open from now until May 15, 2026.
