【Competition Information】The 4th Hsinchu County Magistrate’s Cup National Calligraphy Demonstration Competition

1.Submission period: From August 20 to September 16, 2025.
2.Competition divisions:
(1) Elementary Lower Grades: grade 4 and below, based on the 114th school year.
(2) Elementary Upper Grades: grades 5 and 6, based on the 114th school year.
(3) Junior & Senior High School / Vocational School Division, based on the 114th school year.
(4) College & Adult Division (open to anyone beyond high school).
(5) Senior Citizens Division: participants aged 65 or older (born in Year 49 or earlier). Please present ID — such as a national ID card or health insurance card — at the finals; submissions without ID will not be judged.
(6) International Division: (a)For foreign nationals (including overseas Chinese students, new residents, or workers/students in Taiwan). Passport verification is required; up to 30 participants accepted on a first‑come, first‑served basis. (b)International Division participants do not submit entries in advance; please attend on-site calligraphy demonstration only. Writing materials (white xuan paper, approx. 35 × 136 cm, two sheets per person) are provided. Participants choose their own content. (c)Works judged to have outstanding calligraphy skill by experts will be awarded certificates and prizes. (d)The demonstration for the International Division will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the activity center of Liujia Elementary School in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County.
3.Eligibility: Anyone who interested in calligraphy may register and participate.
4.Competition format: All divisions (except International) must submit their works for preliminary selection. Those selected will be invited to participate in the on-site final round.
