Purpose: To encourage young people to engage in arts and cultural experiences and to promote the development of the cultural and creative industries, the Ministry of Culture has issued Youth Culture Vouchers since 2023. These vouchers can be used as discounts for cultural activities such as watching Taiwanese films or performances, buying books, visiting museums, or participating in DIY workshops. For the year 2025 (Year 114 in the ROC calendar), each youth aged 16–22 will receive 1,200 culture points (1 point = NT$1). A pilot program will also be launched for youths aged 13–15, with each eligible participant receiving 600 culture points.
How to Receive and Use the Vouchers: (1) Who Is Eligible: • Ages 13–15: Individuals born between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012 with ROC nationality or qualified foreign residents are eligible for 600 culture points. • Ages 16–22: Individuals born between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2009 with ROC nationality or qualified foreign residents are eligible for 1,200 culture points. (2) How to Claim: • Download the “文化幣” (Culture Points) app on your smartphone. • Complete registration and identity verification. • Points can be claimed and used starting January 1, 2025. • Alternatively, contact the Culture Voucher customer service: o Phone: 0809-081806 ; Email: cp.service@tradevan.com.tw (3) How to Use: Vouchers can be used from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 at authorized cultural and arts venues across Taiwan. Each transaction is deducted based on whole points (1 point = NT$1). (4) Where to Use: Museums, concerts, performances, Physical bookstores, Taiwanese films, Concerts by Taiwanese artists, Record shops, cultural parks or markets, DIY workshops or cultural experience tours. Over 18,000 participating locations across Taiwan’s 22 cities and counties. (5) Special Offers: a. Bonus Points at Independent Bookstores: At participating bookstores displaying the “Independent Bookstore Bonus Points Program” badge, receive 1 bonus point for every 2 points spent, up to 50% of your annual point total. b. 50% Off Youth Seats at Performing Arts Events: Youth-only discounted seating available, including designated “Youth Seats” with excellent views and “Half-Price Free Seating” options. c. Group Movie Bonus for Taiwanese Films: When one person in a group spends 350 points or more in a single transaction on Taiwanese film tickets, get an extra 100 points. No limit on number of redemptions. d. Lucky Draws: For every 200 points spent in a single purchase, receive one entry into a prize draw for bonus culture points. e. Invite Friends Bonus: If a youth who has already received their culture points invites two friends to successfully register, they receive 30 points. After that, 10 points are awarded for each additional successful invitation. No cap on rewards.
