Purpose: To promote ecological knowledge of urban green spaces and raise awareness of climate change issues, the National Taiwan Museum, in collaboration with the Department of Life Science at NTU, will organize a training course and scientific survey on trees surrounding the museum. The program will utilize the internationally renowned citizen science mobile application iNaturalist for urban tree identification and phenology recording, introducing participants to contemporary urban ecosystem issues.
Training Schedule: (1)Date & Time: September 20, 2025 (Saturday), 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (2)Venue: 4th-floor Conference Room, Paleontology Hall, National Taiwan Museum (No. 25, Xiangyang Rd., Zhongzheng District, Taipei City) (3)Pre-course Requirement: A 2-hour online training session or its recording must be completed in advance. (4)Online session: September 13, 2025 (Saturday), 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
Eligibility & Registration: (1)Target Participants: 20 high school and university students interested in natural ecology, environmental issues, or museum exhibition research. (2)Fee: Free of charge. (3)Requirement: Participants must complete phenology surveys in nearby green spaces. A certificate of service will be issued to those who complete at least 16 service hours. (4)Registration Deadline: September 12, 2025 (5)Registration Method: Online registration only.
