The program aims to cultivate young people’s knowledge of international affairs, cross-cultural communication skills, and spirit of civic engagement through a variety of learning opportunities, including professional courses, practical insights from diplomats, exchanges with foreign representatives stationed in Taiwan, professional mentorship, and final presentations.

  1. Eligibility
    Applicants must:
    Be 45 years old or younger;
    Be registered residents, students, or employees in Taipei City, including non-Taiwanese nationals;
    Be third-year or above undergraduate students at colleges/universities, or young professionals with equivalent educational qualifications.
    A total of 35 participants will be selected.
  2. Program Period & Fee
    Program Period: September 1–October 15, 2026
    Program Format: 10 sessions (30 hours) + 1 final presentation
    Program Fee: Free of charge, fully subsidized by the government
  3. Program Highlights
    10 professional training sessions / 30 hours
    Core courses covering foreign policy, international relations, city diplomacy, and cross-cultural communication
    Exchanges with foreign representatives stationed in Taiwan, diplomats, and international affairs experts
    Professional mentorship throughout the program
    Final presentation and interdisciplinary networking opportunities to broaden participants’ international perspectives and professional networks

Program Name: 2026 Youth Knowledge Light: Cambodia Online Chinese Tutoring Program for University Companions
Target Beneficiaries: Youth learners in Cambodia with zero background in Chinese.
Target Recruits: Youth aged 18–35 (preferred); all genders are welcome.
Volunteer Qualifications:
Passionate about volunteer work, patient, and enthusiastic about companionship.
Knowledge of Khmer is not required.
Basic English communication skills or the ability to use translation software effectively.
Tutoring Platform: Online via Google Meet (primary) and Zoom (secondary).
Tutoring Schedule: Every Monday OR Friday, 20:00–22:00 (TST) (Choose one slot).
Program Duration: September 7, 2026 – January 27, 2027
Application Deadline: August 4, 2026, by 23:59 (Applications may close early if quota is filled).
Volunteer Benefits:
Cross-cultural exchange opportunities.
Practical Chinese tutoring experience & professional teacher training.
Certificate of volunteer service hours.
